Cliff Martinez score isn't complete without the accompanying 80s vibe and moody electronica song. ThatChromatics numberkills. We get way too few new musicals. Maybe this one doesn'talwayswork but it's peak moments are totally good times. 感兴趣ing music for passionate recreations of Pina's key choreographic achievements. Lush soundscapes for Malick and Desplat can always be counted on. Love those instrumental nearly elevator versions of 90s hits and great song selections.

"Who will campaign door to-door for America,
Carry the flag shore to shore for America..."

a wonderful blend of lyrical humor, musical pastiche, and storytelling. Great scene.

"Dream... how I dream to feel.
Dream... how I dream to feel.
And everything will fill with light"

In keeping with the film's unusual moods this title song, asks you to "begin again. begin again" just as its ending. Hanna will but you can almost interpret the scant ambiguous lyrics as a song of death.

“它会是一个漫长,漫长的旅程
It's gonna be an uphill climb
Its gonna be a tough fight
There's gonna be some lonely nights..."

One of the director's very best decisions? Not fading out while Aibileen makes that long walk away from the camera to Mary J Blige's inspirational but pained anthem.

"Everything is great everything is grand
I got the whole wide world in the palm of my hand
Everything is perfect its falling into place
I cant seem to wipe this smile off my face..."

Of all of Bret McKenzie's fun Muppets work this one best captures the original spirit. And what a sing-a-long to kick a movie off with.

"Is there more I could have said?
Now they’re only pictures in my head.
That’s why my green is feeling grey
Sometimes even frogs have rainy days."

Kermit has always had a way with plaintive ballads. This one works and like all good musical numbers it's part of the story.

Apart from the Muppets it wasn't a strong song year since most of the great song usages in movies were not originals and the actually original songs were end credits afterthoughts...

Finalists:"Man or Muppet"is a hilarious but very Conchords number for the Muppets,"Lay Your Head Down"is a pretty lullaby for the tired character from Albert Nobbs though perhaps it's a bit incongruous to the movie's style and period.
Semi-Finalists:"So Long"from Winnie the Pooh,"Masterpiece"from W.E.,"Think You Can Wait"from Win Win
