^ Lol.
I heard they are also considering it as a working title for a prequel to The Remains of the Day ;)

At least there won't be more Batman(s) for a few years.

So true.Peter Jackson confirmed a third Hobbit film today...so I think you're point is well proven.

If they're going to do Batman again, can't they actually try to do Robin as a kid,at least?

There's just genuinely no fucking point.I'm sorry, but I like a little ambiguity in my goddamn film.

I don't want exposition anymore.Just dump me in the middle of war and don't tell me why. That's how life is.If art is REALLY supposed to reflect life, don't tell me why John Candy in his Spaceballs garb is blowing Noel Coward in front of Shelley Duvall.I don't want to fucking know why.I just want to live in the horror of that image.

Stephen King is writing a sequel, with Danny Torrence all grown up (which might come out this autumn) so it seems like an okay idea for me.That book was terrifying.

I would rather see a Robin centric film than another depressing endless Batman movie.I'm surprise it's taken them this long to do a follow up to"The Shining"a story about how the hotel became evil might be interesting of course there is the sequel alternative in which Danny goes back as a grown up to investigate the truth behind his father's madness.James Franco could play Danny and we get some demented cameo from Jack who is still alive within the walls of the hotel.

Jaragon: How do you even DO Robin without introducing him in the context of Batman, even if you "focus"on him?I agree that focusing on him (Three of the four (Dick Grayson,Jason Todd and Tim Drake) of him,in specific) is a good idea, but I'd rather want them to try and fail doing the kid sidekicks as actual kids (all about 12-14 starting off) then giving up again and doing them as Chris O'Donnell/Alicia Silverstone/Burt Ward/Yvonne Craig aged characters and,if they literally CAN'T do them age accurate to the comics in live-action,that they should be characters only done in animation.

Anna: How!?How the BLEEP does Peter Jackson justify that!!?LOTR was three films condensed down from a total of fifteen hundred pages of content. The Hobbit is now three films made out of a just over three hundred page book. And,considering it's Peter Jackson, who wants to bet the combined length is longer than the original cut of Greed?

But a prequel to THE SHINING,PEOPLE.It's like they're defacating on Kubrick's grave.
