Top 7 David Harbour

A surprise list to start your morning off right. We've been thinking a lot aboutStranger Thingsthese past couple of weeks, and many of those thoughts have revolved around the unexpectedly hefty role for usual supporting playerDavid Harbour.I personally think he's Best in Show in that sci-fi fantasy 80s nostalgia trip. The first time I remember seeing him was on Broadway in 2001 as the object of Robert Sean Leonard's crushing in Tom Stoppard'sThe Invention of Love. His profile has been growing slowly ever since and its a treat to see him make so much of such a big opportunity in the Netflix hit.

Favorite David Harbour Performances

01 Jim Hopper inStranger Things(2016)

02 Nick inWho's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?(Broadway Revival,2005.Tony nomination)

03 John Morris inBlack Mass(2015)

04 Shep Cambell inRevolutionary Road(2008)

05 Moses Josh Jackson inThe Invention of Love(Broadway,2001)

06 Randall inBrokeback Mountain(2005)

07 Van Hauser inEnd of Watch(2012)

I personally haven't seen several of his TV roles (where he's worked asa regular series member in various shows) but those are the seven of his performances I've enjoyed the most up above. How about you, what do you think of his work?

Love him. When he showed up inStranger Thingsit was very comforting from the jump,as he has the kind of screen presence you look forward to spending eight hours watching.Teddy bear with an edge.

He made enough of an impression on me in Rev Road that I looked him up when I got home and discovered he's the same actor who made an impression on me in Brokeback (which I just rewatched and is SO well-cast,down to its smallest roles.)
I'm enjoying him on Stranger Things - hope this leads to more high profile parts.

It's funny to see how many Law & Orders he's been in;that joke from the Tonys holds true.

Stranger Things,of all projects, finally gave him the opportunity to play a sexy character...haven't seen that in his other roles.

I just saw him last week in Shakespeare in the Park playing Achilles.Sad to hear he got injured and had to be replaced for the rest of the run.Of course,it's been a July full of Harbour for me with that and Stranger Things! He's suddenly everywhere!:)

I'm glad he's finally getting some attention.I saw him on stage doing Virginia Woolf ten years ago (!) and thought he was super talented. It's a tough business.
